"Inspire Me Healthy" Link -Up!

"Diet Starts Tomorrow!"
No, really this time.
It's far past time to get my sexy back!

I know I've already posted today, but...
I just "found" these 2 gorgeous girls, Kristin & Raven & am so excited to be a part of their very first  "Inspire Me Healthy" debut…since I really AM…starting tomorrow.

Driving home from Dallas today, B & I had about 4 hours to plan out our life & eat all the crap we could & get it all out of our system…until tomorrow. That's why it's so ironic that I just found this post!

I wrote this on Raven's page & it couldn't be more true…

"GIRRLLLLL… couldn't be more with you & I LOVE your honesty & real-ness! You are one sexy Mama though…just know that for sure! But…I know EXACTLY what you mean about YOUR OWN best! Not what other people think you should look like. I am starting tomorrow too! I really am. I work from home, wake up at 9, AND walk past my ENTIRE home gym…EVERY SINGLE DAY! My shit has cobwebs on it & THAT my friend…is some bullshit! =) LOL! See…someone (hand raised so high)…ALWAYS has it worse than you! =) I SO wish I were brave enough to post before & afters, cause I'll tell you one thing…my shit's gonna be EPIC! LMAO! =) Let's DO THIS! We're all in this together & we're ALL rootin' for you! NOTHING but love for you, Honey! WORK IT OUT! =) XO"

If you read her post here…it'll make a lot more sense! Ha Ha.

Here's me & my B in one of our Engagement pics…a few days before our wedding.

me on my Wedding Day…almost 2 years ago now. (Nov. 6)

As sick as this sounds & as gorgeous as I felt these days…I still wasn't at my ideal weight…for me.

And now…almost 2 years later…I would give the world to be here again.
Isn't that so insane how that works?
You really…never appreciate what you have, & not even who you are…until it's gone.

I have at least 30 pounds to lose to look/feel…my absolute best & be back to "Veronika"
again & I couldn't be more excited & more ready to take on this new challenge!

I wish I were brave enough to take before & after pictures, but…"Can I Get a Hell No!" I'm definitely not there yet! I give SUCH props to those who do/can. Maybe one day…I'll surprise you all!

I'm an "all or nothing" kind of girl so I either go balls to the walls & eat everything in sight…or eat & train like a Champion!

Tomorrow…the training begins!!!

I have an entire home gym, (hate to admit it…but since we ARE keeping' it real), have every
DVD/supply imaginable

I even have this little piece of inspiration I made that hangs right next to my TV in my gym

How fitting is the Pink Glove for this post!
Not on purpose at all, since I just found this link-up a few minutes ago!
LOVE it!

I mean…what else could a girl ask for!

NO EXCUSES…that's for sure!

So…here'e to all of us!
Taking off our "fat suits" once & for all finding our inner Goddess...once again! LMAO!

LET'S DO THIS, Beauties!!!

We can…and we will

Thank you, Kristin & Raven, for creating such an awesome, much-needed link-up, & for allowing us to all bond & hold each other accountable!
I look forward to getting to know & root for…all of you!

To my VKKD Girls…please feel free to join in with us too!
The more the merrier…for sure & a great way to meet new awesome girls!

Love Your Body

Hey Gorgeous Ones!
As I sit here with another one of my fabulous headaches...I thought I'd catch up on my You Tube watching, and I came across this video & just had to share. This beautiful girl below is Trisha. Someone I've been watching/following for a while now, and I wrote this post about her, when I first discovered her. She's inspired me since the moment I found her & I think we could all learn a thing or two from her. Most importantly...her confidence & her ability to be the epitome of "herself"...in a world that's constantly trying to change you. I celebrate...to the tenth degree...anyone who lives their life for them alone (without hurting anyone of course), and who...when looking in the mirror...is so proud of the person staring back at them. Props is an understatement...I give them a standing ovation! With Summer here, and all of us trying to look our absolute best & be "bikini perfect"...just make sure that the measure of perfection...is judged by you alone. Never compare yourself to anyone else. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be your absolute best. I think we all should live up to our fullest potentials...in every aspect of our lives, so long as you are trying to be the best version of YOU. Not what society or the world thinks you should be. If your body interferes with your life & activities, meaning...if your weight limits you from living your best life...then yes...it might be time to make a change, but if not, and you're 100% happy in your skin...then hey...STANDING OVATION & eat an extra slice of pizza for me! Ha Ha. You, and only you...should be the judge of that. The world is so full of "ugly"...and not at all what I mean is the size of your jeans! "Pretty Is As Pretty Does" & skinny does not always equal...pretty. You are not a size. You are not a weight. You are not an age. You are not a trophy. You are not a doll. You are not stupid. You are not an image. You are not an advertisement demographic. YOU ARE A WOMAN...and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

What I wrote to her...

"YOU ARE STUNNING & deserve a standing ovation for this one, T! This "mean" epidemic NEEDS to stop & I couldn't be more proud of you for bearing not only your body...but your soul. My Mama always said, "Pretty is as pretty does", and you my dear...are beautiful. If you can't say anything to improve the silence...please, please...don't say a word. We are all in this world together, fighting our own battles, and we all need to stick together & help each other through it all. BE YOU & BE PROUD! XO"

Have a beautiful night, Gorgeous Ones!
As you look in the mirror tonight...smile at the beautiful reflection staring back at you.
She's as beautiful as it gets!

LOVE THE SKIN YOU'RE IN!

Happy Monday, Beauties!
Here's a little inspiration for you!

So...I got this new subscription in the mail & I'm pretty sure it's from my Sister (Thank you SO SO much, Verenia! I LOVE it!), and if you've read any of my posts...you know that Marisa Miller has my favorite body...of all time! So...it inspired me to let her know. Not that she doesn't already know she's the shit, but hey...that never gets old right? It's always amazing when someone notices your dedication & sacrifices. So...I told her & to my surprise...she thanked me. Kinda cool when you have a million & one people writing to you! Makes me love her...that much more! YOU ROCK, MM & you inspire me every day!

Happy Thanksgiving...Eve.

Tomorrow is the big day!
A day to really think about all the things we are so thankful for.
I am in love with Thanksgiving food & couldn't be more excited to get my grub on! Ha Ha. It's get kind of difficult to eat as healthy as we usually do, during these times, but I wouldn't trade these moments...or these goodies...for the world.
Here's a list of ways we can enjoy & stay on track.

Can we still enjoy the holidays while watching our weight? The answer is a resounding, Yes! And, it can be easier than you think.
Here are simple 8 tips that will help you to safely navigate the holidays while maintaining a healthy weight:
  1. Commit Now – Often when it comes to holiday weight gain, our biggest problem is our attitude. We tell ourselves, “this is supposed to be a fun time and I don’t want to spoil it by paying attention to what I eat.” We forget the wise adage: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In other words, it is far easier—and much healthier—to avoid weight gain in the first place than it is to put on the weight and then spend months trying to take it off later. Commit now to doing whatever is necessary to maintain your healthy weight for the next 6 weeks.
  2. Eat Right at Home – The holidays are a time to especially concentrate on healthy eating at home. Focus on fresh produce items which are often neglected during the winter months. Try to add more whole grains and low fat proteins to your diet. Finally, replace soda and alcoholic beverages with lots of pure water. This will reduce your overall calorie intake at home to balance occasional splurges at holiday events.
  3. Plan Ahead – When you are invited to events where you will be tempted to eat more than you should, be proactive and plan ahead. Eat something healthy before you go so that you won’t be hungry and overindulge on foods that are high in fat or calories. Volunteer to bring a “fruit & vegetable tray” to the party so that you will have something healthy to snack on without feeling out of place. Nature has provided delicious treats in the form of appetizing vegetables and brightly colored fruits bursting with flavor. If you like to dip your vegetables, instead of high-fat dips try humus or guacamole which can turn ordinary vegetables into mouth-watering treats. You’ll find that others will appreciate having healthy choices and follow your lead. Finally, bring a small travel-size toothbrush and toothpaste with you. When you have finished eating, excuse yourself for a moment and go brush your teeth. It will make your conversations more pleasurable. And, it gives your mind a subliminal message that you are finished eating for the evening.
  4. Savor the Moment – Many traditional holiday treats are served only once a year and are therefore much anticipated as part of the celebration. If you have a favorite holiday food or treat that you anticipate with fondness and which makes the holiday for you, go ahead and eat it. But, instead of loading up your plate, choose small portions and savor the unique taste and delightful aroma of each bite. You can get just as much pleasure from a small serving, slowly enjoyed and appreciated, than from a large serving hastily eaten. It’s so easy to devour a table full of snacks while chatting with a friend and not even remember what you ate. If you are going to indulge in a once-a-year treat, pause and be present, enjoy each tantalizing bite. Then, return to your conversation or activity.
  5. Don’t Give Up - Above all, avoid the temptation to give up. If we have overindulged a little, it’s easy to rationalize additional eating by saying, “I’ve already blown it so I might as well eat everything in sight.” It’s a tempting thought, but totally false. Every additional calorie adds to the problem. So, if you suddenly realize that you have overeaten. Take immediate action to break the cycle. Take a deep breath, go brush your teeth, then return and focus on celebrating in other ways. Be especially careful with alcoholic beverages, which are filled with empty calories and can contribute to weight gain.
  6. Avoid Stress – The holidays can be a stressful time. Family or social events can spawn anxiety. Gift giving can create financial stress. Out of town guests can strain family relationships. All of these stresses can combine to sabotage our will-power and cause us to overindulge in “comfort foods” which are all too available this time of year. Make it a point to include stress-reducing activities in your holiday plans. Take a daily walk/run, meditate, listen to stress reducing music or relaxation programs, breathe deeply, exercise or play with a pet. These activities will not only help you stay on track physically, it will make the holidays much more enjoyable for you.
  7. Celebrate with Activities, Not Food – There are so many traditional holiday foods that we sometimes feel that our holiday celebrations must be centered around food. Not true. Inspiring holiday music, family traditions, festive decorations, and community activities, can add warmth and tradition to our celebrations without involving food at all. Plan activities which focus on service to people who need a lift this time of year. Make it a point to plan activities that bring out the joy of the season, without relying on food.
  8. Keep Moving

It's Britney B***h!

Hey Dolls!
I found this on, yep you guessed it...Pinterest & loved it, so I hope you do too! As you know...I am ON A MISSION to get my booty in "bad ass shape", and since I love to change up my work-outs...I thought this would be a fun addition!
Apparently this is Britney's exact workout routine she followed when she was in her “prime” (I’m guessing the early 2000’s).

90 minutes/4x a week

Warm up: 10 minutes on cardiovascular machine (treadmill, stationary bike, etc) at a medium pace.
Abs: 50 crunches, 50 bicycle twists, 50 hip raises
Strength Circuit: Use weights to work on arms, chest, back, and lower body. Bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, and fly exercises and presses.

Back to Cardio & Abs: 30 minutes of jogging on treadmill or elliptical machine
Abs: 150 crunches, 150 bicycle twists, 150 hip raises (Do each 3 times)

Yup that’s a total of 1950 ab exercises…how else do you think Britney looked so hot?!?!?!
Last but not least…STRETCH! And maybe take a yoga or pilates class on one of your off days.

And there you have it: Britney’s Insane Workout!

You still got it, Brit & we are all rootin' for you!
