Cupcakes & Chandeliers

Hi Beauties! Sure hope everyone is having a great Monday & great start of the week! I spent my day playing with cupcakes & chandeliers! It was our "Geek Squad" guy Brandon's birthday today, so I played "school mom" & made him & his team cupcakes! He He. Strawberry with Buttercream frosting...B's favorite & request! Ha Ha! He figured Brandon would be too shy & not take us up on our offer to take the rest home to his family, so he figured I might as well make his favorite! LOL! And...he was right! The whole tree is still here and man are we enjoying them! Happy Birthday Brandon! Ha Ha. This was the "special" tray I made for him & he even blew out the candle! Way to embarrass the poor guy in front of all his co-workers! I just feel like everyone needs to make a wish on their Birthday. How cute is this tray by the way? I got it at Cracker Barrel (cutest restaurant & country store here)! It was marked down to like $7 & I just had to have it! Mama said it had my name written all over it! He He.

Here are the rest for the team. Oops...I mean B & Me! Funny story about these oh so boring, naked cupcakes! I've been making cupcakes since the beginning of time & have always covered them with the cutest sprinkles I could find...until one day almost 5 years ago. Bobby is the first person I met in my entire life who absolutely hates sprinkles! Who hates sprinkles? It's like hating balloons! LOL! Anyway, where was I? Since him...he has convinced me that it is almost cruel to put sprinkles on cupcakes & swears that everyone hates them with a passion, so...hence these naked, sac-religious cupcakes! It makes me cringe to even look at these! LOL! They are just way too boring & don't scream HAPPY Birthday at all! Heck...they don't even whisper it! So...I am telling Brandon (Birthday Boy) the story & explained to him why I went against everything I believe in & made these "joke of cupcakes" & guess what he says? Yep. You guessed it. He LOVES sprinkles! Imagine that! Someone else who knows how to go all out for an occasion! Ha Ha! Which brings me to my Life's Lesson for the day...ALWAYS, no matter what...DO YOU. NEVER change for anyone & the next time I make a batch and someone just happens to hate sprinkles...well they can just pull those suckers off!!! Happy Freakin' Birthday! LOL!

Now for the second part of my day. One of my favorite time of days...CRAFT TIME!!! As you guys know we just moved into our new house & are finishing up the final touches, which includes lots of projects! My very favorite part! I've been living on ETSY, trying to find all sorts of specific goodies & came across this shop...

Which has all different prints of pictures like these & the owner is so so sweet!

Since I am a chandelier freak...I picked out a red one & a green one & went to work! I "bedazzle" everything, & my very favorite site for swarovski crystals is...

I get the "flat back" ones & use GEM-TAC glue (pictured below) & play til my hearts content! Ha Ha.

I just glued them random places that I wanted some bling & it turned a regular picture into a shiny masterpiece!

Mommy's Little Helper. Gabbana.

Put them in frames & you've just added a whole lotta value to these puppies! They are so much cuter! And...so so easy to make!

TA DA!!!

When the light hits them just right...they are oh so pretty! Love them! Hope you guys do too! Thank you for letting me share my day with you! I always look forward to these moments! I would love to hear about your favorite crafts ! Do Share! Have a beautiful night, Gorgeous Dolls & I'll see you tomorrow!

Cupcakes overflowing with sprinkles & mountains of bling too!

DIY MAC Counter

Who doesn't LOVE walking up to the MAC counter, checking out all their newest displays, and loving every second of it! I know I do & I after searching the Internet for months & months, looking to see where I could purchase an "authentic" MAC Counter display, and having no luck...I decided to make my own! Here's what I came up with...

Found this "authentic" MAC Sign on EBAY (entered MAC Make-Up Displays in search box) & also this acrylic nail polish stand that is also from EBAY & fits 27 MAC Eye Shadows, perfectly!

From AMAZON, searched "Acrylic Make-Up Organizers" & found these other two additions. There are a million variations, so just search away to find your favorites.

I literally just "glue-gun'ed" this sign to the mirror. Holds tight enough not to fall off, but weak enough to not crack your mirror.

Got this glam frame at Home Goods & "googled" MAC  Logos, printed it out on photo paper & added swarovski crystals to the "dots" between the letters.

Got this acrylic cube from The Container Store & added black sand from Michael's, to make my brushes look extra cute!

This particular "drawer set" from AMAZON, looks extra fancy because each drawer  is lined with black velvet-ish fabric.

TAAAA DAAAA!!! Your own personal MAC Counter!

It is super easy, not too expensive at all & oh so chic!

Since making this counter, I have continued searching EBAY for the "authentic" Eye Shadow displays & I am OH SO HAPPY to say that I FINALLY FOUND ONE!!! A beautiful, former MAC Employee was selling one & I was SO excited to buy it! (YOU ROCK, Cassie!) Since I'm in the process of moving though, I won't set it up until I get to Texas. I'll be sure to share with you guys when it's all set up! If you are looking for a "real" one...just check EBAY often & you'll definitely find them.

Hope you love this & if you end up making one...I'd LOVE to see it!

From the Nordstrom Counter...to your own Counter,

PRETTY PILL BOX

While packing for my trip to Texas, I was gathering up all my pills/vitamins & thought to myself..."There HAS GOT to be a cute, less space "taking up" way to take them with me! So...off to JoAnne's I went! Ha Ha! I knew they had plastic cases of all sorts, for crafty things & wanted to find something fun to decorate! Here's what I came up with...

I found this box,  got out my nifty Silicone that B got me from Lowe's, & all my little "trinkets" I get from Etsy. Under the tab that reads "PEOPLE & SHOPS" enter...MimiLoLo. She has THE CUTEST things & SO many designs to choose from! Here are some of my goodies I bought from her...

Thank you, my Gorgeous Handy Man for my Silicone you bought me to "look like frosting". You are a DOLL & I thank you SO much for helping me with my fun project!

The front of the case.

The Inside.

I added Silicone all over the top, in a "dotted" pattern.

Almost Done.

TA DA!

All Done!

Before.

And After.

How much cuter is this to travel with! And SO SO easy to make! Took me less than 10 minutes! The Silicone is REALLY secure, so you don't have to worry about anything falling off, but just to keep it clean, I put it inside a little velvet drawstring bag I had. You could even put it in a big zip lock bag. Anything is cute when you see this inside! Ha Ha! Life's Simple Pleasures! SO SO fun!

Loving my Pretty Pill Box & hoping you make one too,

Cute and adorable pill box, I see you take vitamins, will you e mail me back and tell me what all you take and what they do etc.. I can read the middle one for stress but the ones on each side are harder to read. I love hearing about which ones people take and how they like them so I can possibly take them too. Thanks!! Leslie

Leslie...I'll just answer here, just in case anyone else wants to know too! =) As far as pills go...I only take 3 & Monavie (daily). Vitamin B, which is good for... (per experts) healthy skin, nails, hair, sensitive lips and tongue, eyesight, the breakdown of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Cranberry Pills, which are good for preventing UTI's, flushing out kidneys & preventing kidney stones, Helps detox body, are a great source of anti-oxidents...the list goes on. =) And the only other thing I take are omegas (fish oil pills), but now I actually take it in a liquid form. It is NASTY, but you only need a spoon full a day. Well not nasty, since it's lemon flavored, but just tastes like a spoon full of oil! =) So more "slimy" than nasty! But SO SO good for you. The brand I use is CARLSON Cod Liver Oil, in lemon flavor. I get mine on Amazon. Liquid form is always better than pill form. Our bodies only absorb 20 % of pills & about 90% of liquid, which is also the reason why I am IN LOVE with Monavie! =) The world's best nutrients...all together in one bottle...ALL liquid. =) So...hope this helps, Sweetheart. Any other questions...ask away! =) XO

Oh & the pill box...thank you so much! =) SO SO quick & easy to do! =)

MAC...thank you so much! =) Another thing so easy to make & looks so cute! =) And again...of course I have to have a chandelier! =) Makes everything cuter, right? =) Thank you so much about my decorating. One of my passions, for sure. =) I'll be sharing my new home pics next week. =) And for foundation...I use the exact same thing! =) Don't use any liquid/cover up at all. Just moisturizer & Studio Fix in C4. Been using it for years & it's my absolute favorite too! =) I know the feeling. I love freckles on everyone else, but me...not so much! =) Read my post about the "Lemonade Scrub". It's AWESOME to reduce freckles! =) The easiest way to find it is under my "DIY" Label on the right hand side of my page. No baby spots yet, since I'm minus a baby (LOL), but I'll get my turn too. =( All parts of the joys of motherhood! And what do men get...NADA!!! =) What kind of BS is that! =) Ha Ha. I know it'll all be worth it though, right? =)
