Another Year FULL of Love.

I turned another year older yesterday, and my heart…got a lot more full of love!

An overwhelming amount of Facebook/Instagram/Blog messages, calls, texts, Birthday songs, very special gifts & many surprises, very yummy treats, a day spent with nothing but love & laughter with my beautiful B…

a perfect day, indeed.

ALL of you were a part of it, and I thank you…with every beat of my heart.

You made my day, week, year, and most importantly…made me feel that the life I live is one to be proud of. You made me laugh, cry, say "Awww" a million & one times =), brought back so many wonderful memories, but most of all…reminded me how TRULY blessed I am, & how proud I am to call ALL of you…my Beautiful Family & Friends. Life is made up of captured moments, & the things we share and the moments we spend together have become gifts that my heart won't ever forget. Thank You ALL…for your unbelievable love & kindness. This post goes out to all my girls (& guys if you're reading)...

As I was driving the other day, running errands & enjoying the beautiful Texas scenery…this song came on Pandora.

While singing at the top of my lungs…I actually took the time to really listen to the words. At that moment, with tears streaming down my cheeks (Hey…I told you guys a long time ago I was a Hot Mess!)…it made me think of all of you.

So many of you write to me about love & heartbreak, not finding the right one yet, etc. And you always refer to being single as not being "enough". Not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, skinny enough…
When in reality, the only "enough" being single represents…is loving yourself enough…to wait for the right person. 
Enjoy every minute of being single!
I sure did.
The only time it's amazing being in a relationship…is when you are with someone amazing! 
Take your time. Love yourself first. And the rest…will all happen in time.
Not your time…but his.
You can't rush love.
If it's meant to be…it will always be.
If you follow some sort of "timeline", made up by you, family/friends, society…you'll end up like poor Kim Kardashian. 

You should only get Married when you find someone you could never imagine your life without.
And you should only have kids when that same person is exactly what you want your Son/Daughter to be like.

It's as simple as that.

If it happens at 20…perfect.
If it happens at 30…perfect.
If it happens at 40..perfect.
And so on.

If it gets too late for kids…maybe you were meant to adopt.
Maybe you we meant to love other people's kids.
If you don't meet the right person…it's not in the cards…period.
Otherwise you have kids, a dead beat Dad/Mom, kid grows up in a dis-functional broken home, etc. etc.
Not fair at all to the kid.
Think of what's best for your child…not what's best for you.

But it all starts with loving yourself first!
Have you ever noticed that when it rains…it always pours?
Meaning…your love life could be in a serious drought, and as soon as you meet someone & are as happy as can be…everyone else is all of a sudden attracted to you?
It's because you're happy!
People are drawn to happy people.
The happier you make yourself…the more you will attract happiness.
Also…you will attract exactly the level of self esteem you currently possess.
If your self esteem is low…like a magnet…that's exactly the kind of man/woman you will attract.
But if it's high…you'll attract that instead.

Use your single time to "do you". 
Take that class you've always wanted to take. Learn a new language. Sign up for dance lessons. Travel. Learn. Grown. Explore. 
And…make yourself the best person you can be. 
Once you've done all that…I can guarantee…love will find it's way to you.

Maybe not your body...but hopefully...your heart.

Ten Questions and Answers:

1. What would you most like to change about yourself?
I would try to live life a little more carefree & stress a lot less about the things I can't do anything about.

2. What is your theme song?
Ummm…that's so hard to pick only one, but the very first song that comes to my mind is…

3. One part of your life, a memory, action, etc. that you wish you could surgically remove from your brain?
Watching my doggie get hit by a train. And so ironic…her name was Sunshine. It happened on my 20th. Birthday & I will always remember that unbelievably horrible sight, & hope helpless I felt.

4. What generation do you wish you had been a part of? 
My favorite style era is by far the 60's! LOVE the big hair, smoky eyes, etc. But as far as living…I wish I lived in the 50's. A time when life was so wholesome & innocent. Sock hops, Drive-ins, etc. One of my very favorite movies is Grease & I would have loved to have lived it!

5. What was your favorite childhood toy?
Ummm…probably a stuffed Monkey!

6. What is your favorite housecleaning chore? 
Probably laundry. I adore the smell of fabric softener & dryer sheets & love that it has a beginning and an end. Until…the next batch comes! Good Times!

7. Do you Twitter? 
Yes I do, although I don't have any clue what to tweet! Do people really want a play by play of my life? Have no idea! Would love to know your thoughts. And all those #'s & stuff…clueless!

8. Any goals? 
Many. Starting with being "bikini-ready" all year long, starting YouTube videos & continuing to grow & better my blog, travel to many places, learn another language, & try my best to touch as many lives as possible.

9. Do you really drink margaritas all the time? 
Not at all. About 1 a year! Not a big alcohol drinker. No matter what it is…I never love the taste enough to waste my calories on it! Would much rather eat something good! Ha Ha. 

10. What is the ugliest car you've ever driven and were embarrassed to be seen in?

Honest to God…I have never been embarrassed in my cars, or any car for that matter. Sometimes that "junkier" they are…the "funnier" the experience! Embrace the junk! (I know neither of these are real words) Ha Ha.
